Very disappointed that Megan would play a role like this. My children and I love her wholesome Anne Shirley character. This is a big departure from her roots. Our family will not be following her career any longer!
I too have followed Ms. Follows career and have watched the many diverse characters she has played over the years folowing “Anne”. She is a highly talented actor and this opportunity to see her in “Cloud 9″ is one I am eagerly anticipating. My husband and I will continue to follow the career of this “Canadian Treasure”.
it’s wonderful to see that Megan Follows is continuing to grow as an actor. yet again she has taken on a role with so much dignity which in this case is so important for so many reasons, but mainly that no individual should ever feel excluded from society. if i should live to see ‘whole love’ on this tiny planet that we all share i hope to live forever.
This is a portrayal of a sweet moment between two people that love each other. How wonderful. And isn’t that what it’s all about, in the end? How could it possibly matter what gender those people are if they are contributing to the love side of the equation, they are okay by me. How could affection of any kind be anything other than great? There simply isn’t enough of it around. And of course, RT, you do realize that Megan is an actor, and it is in her job description to portray many different people in her lifetime. I’m excited to see this show, made by and full of talented people. Huzzah!
HP, I guess you don’t get what being a actor means. Shame on you. It’s totally fine not to watch a charcater you don’t like/feel ok with it, you’re in your right, of course. But to stop following an actress because of a single character (forgetting all the rest you loved) it’s stupid. Whatever.
Good luck with the play, Megan and everyone else! I’m happy to see you’re not afraid of trying new things and new edges. Keep on going! =)

RT that’s ridiculous.
I’m guessing Megan’s career is better off without you RT.
Looks so interesting! Wish I could go on a plane to Toronto and see the play
